Holidays in July QAL
Posted by Johanna Fox on
We are hosting our first Quilt Along (QAL)! We are calling it Holidays in July QAL and selected a very easy “evergreen” block for us to make. With this easy, breezy tree block, you can make a quilt, wall hanging, table runner, set of placemats, pillows, and more. You’re only limited to your imagination.
Holidays in July QAL schedule
Week 1 - July 12th: Select and cut fabric
Week 2 - July 19th: Sew seven blocks
Week 3 - July 26th: Sew seven blocks
Week 4 - August 2nd: Sew seven blocks
Week 5 - August 9th: Sew seven blocks
Week 6 - August 16th: Sew seven blocks
Week 7 - August 23rd: Sew rows and assemble top
For our QAL, and its coordinating schedule above, we are aiming for at least a small throw size quilt top. You will find these tree blocks* (a free downloadable template) go together fast and are fun to make. It’s a great opportunity to use your stashed away solids, novelties, batiks, or Kaffe Fassett fabrics.
Or we suggest looking at the eye candy below! We have received some amazing NEW fabrics from Hoffman Fabrics, Makower UK, Moda Fabrics, and there are more on the way!

I signed up. And I won the Raffle yay! But I still haven’t received the first email for the QAL yet about fabric selection and cutting.
Sally, The QAL is not an in-person event. You can start any time you’d like! We are officially beginning on July 12th. Thank you, Team StitchCraft
What time ok f day is the QAL? Also, is it face-to-face? It may have said somewhere that I missed.
Thank you.
Super excited and shared.
